Well its the beginning of a new week and so before Its time for some news on skins. This weekend was pretty crazy, I got a bit sick and was sort of out of it for a day and then totally disappeared again for another day. Anyway last week saw the release of Wall-E and Kung-Fu Panda, I am happy with the result and the feedback I have gotten from people.

So whats next? Well on the weekend I was supposed to be working on the next skin but of course I didn't so its been delayed a tiny bit. It actually worked better that I didn't start it on the weekend since I came up with something better when I fell asleep last night.

Anyway as the title suggests, the next skin slated for release sometime this week will be based on the upcoming movie Speed Racer. So what can you expect from this skin?

Well for starters, its not going to be a simple skin. The skin will fall roughly between Ev0 and Zero-G in terms of complexity and has been made from scratch.

I was going to do a simple skin for Speed Racer with promo material from the movie and my own graphics but of course as I found out on friday the only promo material they have are just a few cruddy posters and 3 images of the mach 5. So that idea died

So Speed Racer will go down the path of one of my own original designs. Basically the skin will be looking like some sort of device with the Mach 5 branding over it. I already have the design ready and have started production and I have to say it is working nice.

I am trying a few new tricks as well so you will be seeing some pretty cool stuff out of this skin.

Of course as people know by now I am a showman and I don't show previews just to build some suspense. So yeah no previews Just sit there and speculate for a while

So once Speed Racer is out I will then start on the Open Source skin I have been talking about. So stay tuned for some more updates and possibly a sneak peak if I am feeling generous

I (and I'm sure a lot of people) appreciate all the work that you put into your skins however I think you need a few days off. Just sit back relax, go to the Gold Coast , hit the beach or do something you find relaxing.

I'm not telling you what to do but I think that overworking yourself can be bad and make you feel sick and nobody wants to feel sick!

I used to watch the the Speed Racer cartoon when i was small .

i agree with high speed chaser, you work so hard i think you deserve to take a well earn rest, go book a 2 week holiday in the sun somewhere.
