In the news of Messenger Plus! Live, it has been confirmed that a new version is coming fairly soon. While details are pretty slim at the moment our good friends over at msgstuff.com have a bit of coverage as to what is in this new version.

* The ability to copy large amounts of text and images into conversations
* Emoticon sounds are now in stereo, which helps to fix a variety of related bugs
* Skins and scripts can now be updated using the /checkupdates command in messages
* There is a bigger panel for displaying the quick icons display in conversations
* There are various bug fixes and performance optimising features specifically for skinning and scripting

While this isn't a major milestone there are certainly some impressive things going on at the world of Messenger Plus! Live. Stay tuned for more news on Messenger Plus! Live.

after I posted my reply... I read the thread in MP!L beta about it...

first time they will have to wait 7 days until day get the first automatic warning of new updates...

Well that'll help skinners and scripters to iron out any bugs on already downloaded skins.

Of course, just like it always worked when just the Plus! software was checked.

TBH, i was a bit shocked to see some scripts with their own auto-update feature check multiple times per day. Some multiple times per session, one even showed a toast on each sign-in, just to tell me there is no update available.
