Some logos i made recently
its just part of a school assignment
i hate it when i'm not allowed to use any illustrations and fancy things
but atleast the outcome looks decent

ive got an idea, for the ''y'' letter
you could use the Liberty statue

I know i tried that
but everyone is doing that with there city name
and all things need to come out of the existing shapes so no lose illustrators or added shapes
anything with pathfinder was fine thou, but the lesson is more about typography and making logos with only text
so I try to keep it simple but effective

now i know why,
those logos are great btw

Heh I remember when I had to do the same thing when I was at university and I remember me complaining about the same thing. If you are into like modern logo design I recommend you take a look at these 3 books:

Los Logos
Dos Logos
Tres Logos

These books are just full of logos that have a modern and crazy feel to them. I bought the third book and it definitely helps you get ideas to come up with something cool looking.
